The City on Saturday

Today was a bit of a whirlwind but a lot of fun. It started with a trip to a favorite place - the City Museum. Only one or two of the kids had ever been there so we figured it was time to visit there again. And we really just had a blast: exploring, riding a Ferris wheel on the top of the building, taking a ten-story slide down to the bottom of the building, and really just having fun playing and climbing in and around art made from artifacts and architecture of the city.
The Arch was next: we mostly at lunch near it and then just spent time around the base and goofing around. There was some question as whether your tongue would stick to the Arch if you lick it, since it is made of metal. After a bit of successful experimentation, we're happy to report that that is not the case - the tongues came off quite nicely.
We then headed back to New City, as there was going to be a concert given by a couple visiting from Kinshasa, DRC. We were able to catch an hour of that before pizza arrived (hooray). And then we were able to meet up with the other two groups that we'll be working with this week: one "Grace" from a church about 20 minutes away from here, and another group that we worked with last year from Mississippi. We had a nice time getting to know/getting reacquainted before splitting up for quick slushy runs before calling it a day. Should be a great week!

For Mike and Garrett: it's a difficult task but we'll do our best. Regarding Josh: he misses his mom! (comments from Sara)
